Bengaluru: Passengers on board IndiGo flight 6E 7219 between Madurai and Bengaluru were a worried lot after the aircraft made a shaky landing at Kempegowda International Airport around 5pm on Sunday evening, only to take off again a few seconds later.
According to passengers on board, the pilot announced that due to ‘crosswinds’, the flight had to be taken back up in the air, where it hovered for about 20 minutes before touching down at KIA. The flight, originally supposed to land in Bengaluru around 4.45pm, landed touched down at 5.10pm.
The flight departed from the Madurai International Airport at 3.28pm on Sunday.
Sudarshan Dujari, a Bengalurean on board the IndiGo flight, said, “My wife and I, who were travelling with our 3-year-old daughter, were very worried about what happened. The flight touched down in Bengaluru and then in a span of five to 10 seconds again took off.
