IndiGo cancelled 11 flights to various destinations from Visakhapatnam in view of the bad weather on Thursday.
The AirAsia flight from Kolkata to Visakhapatnam was diverted to Bhubaneswar due to strong winds. It, however, reached Visakhapatnam later, Dhananjaya Rao, officiating Airport Director, told The Hindu.
The following were the cancelled IndiGo flights: 6E 879 Bengaluru (BLR) – Visakhapatnam (VTZ), scheduled to arrive in VTZ at 7.05 a.m. and leave for BLR as 6E 287 at 7.45 a.m.; 6E 366 Hyderabad-VTZ, scheduled to arrive from Hyderabad (HYD) at 12.30 p.m. and return to HYD as 6E 809 VTZ-HYD at 1 p.m.; 6E 409 BLR-VTZ, scheduled to arrive at 2.15 p.m. and leave for BLR as 6 E 422 at 2.45 p.m.; 6E 512 Kolkata (CCU)-VTZ arriving at 2 p.m. and leaving as 6 E 512 to MAA (Chennai) at 3 p.m.; 6 E 531 Cochin (COK)-VTZ, scheduled to arrive at 4.20 p.m. and leave for COK as 6E 532 at 5 p.m.; 6E 626 HYD-VTZ, scheduled to arrive at 5 p.m. and leave as 6E 783 to HYD at 5.30 p.m.; 6E 611 HYD-VTZ, scheduled to arrive at 6.05 p.m. and leave as 6E 2772 to Delhi (DEL) at 6.35 p.m.; 6E 208 BLR-VTZ, scheduled to arrive at 6.20 p.m. and leave as 6E 216 to BLR at 7 p.m.; 6E 773 HYD-VTZ, arriving at 6.50 p.m. and leaving as 6E 776 to Hyderabad at 7.20 p.m.; 6E 882 MAA-VTZ, scheduled to arrive at 7.15 p.m. and leave as 6E 883 to HYD at 8.15 p.m.; and 6E 2197 DEL-VTZ, scheduled to arrive at 9.35 p.m. and leave as 6E 742 at 10.05 p.m.
