PUNE: IndiGo has commenced operations to and from Shillong — its 54th domestic destination, officials said. The airline inaugurated 7 new flights on Kolkata-Shillong and Kolkata-Raipur routes. The new routes will be serviced by an ATR-18 aircraft.
Furthermore, Kolkata–Shillong–Kolkata is IndiGo’s next route under the regional connectivity scheme (RCS). Chief minister of Meghalaya Conrad Sangma – graced IndiGo’s inaugural flight from Kolkata to Shillong, along with his delegates.
William Boulter, chief commercial officer, IndiGo said, “We are delighted to inaugurate our flights from Kolkata to Shillong and Raipur. Kolkata-Shillong is an RCS route, which will significantly increase connectivity and tourist traffic in the north-eastern region.
