MUMBAI: An IndiGo A320Neo, operating a flight from Chandigarh developed an engine problem during descent into Mumbai on Friday.
A Mumbai airport spokesperson said that full emergency was declared for Indigo 6E flight number 463 at 4.28 pm. “The Indigo Airlines’ flight landed safely at 4:44 pm on runway 27 and was fully parked. Following which the full emergency was withdrawn at 4.47 pm,” said the airport spokesperson.
An IndiGo spokesperson said that during descent of Chandigarh-Mumbai flight 6E-463, the captain received a precautionary warning for the left engine. “Following necessary standard operating procedures, he asked for a priority landing in Mumbai. There was no inflight shut down and no emergency was declared.
