India’s growing infrastructure goals will make it difficult for the country to achieve a net-zero emissions scenario, the International Energy Agency (IEA) said in a special report released on Tuesday.
Developing economies like India tend to build up stocks of goods and infrastructure to account for the rising demand, the intergovernmental organisation that works with countries to shape sustainable energy policies said, citing three heavy industries – steel, cement, and chemicals.
