Petroleum Minister Hardeep S Puri marked the launch of “Reference Gasoline and Diesel Fuels” produced by IndianOil’s Paradip and Panipat refineries as a significant achievement, which contributes to the Make in India initiative and AtmaNirbhar Bharat vision.
This marks India’s first venture into the production of reference gasoline and diesel fuels, aligning with international standards and reducing the country’s import dependence, Puri said.
The Minister highlighted India’s four-pronged energy security strategy, including diversification of energy supplies, expanding exploration and production, developing alternate energy sources, and transitioning to a gas-based economy, all aligned with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of an energy-independent India by 2047.
