Odisha is set to get its second indigenous-built Vande Bharat Express train on Sunday. This new semi-high speed train will operate between Puri and Rourkela via Bhubaneswar. The train will commence its commercial operation from September 25, 2023.
The state received its first new age train on May 18, 2023 on Puri-Howrah route. The train, composed of 16 coaches, recorded passenger occupancy of more than 100 percent last month.
Stoppage points of Puri-Rourkela Vande Bharat Express:-
During its journey between Puri and Rourkela, the 20835/20836 Vande Bharat Express will make its halt at seven stations. These are – Khurda Road, Bhubaneshwar, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Angul, Sambalpur City and Jharsuguda railway stations.
