Rajya Sabha member John Brittas called out the lack of time management in Kerala train stations after the introduction of Vande Bharat trains in the state. He has requested that the Union Minister of Railways take the necessary steps to accommodate both general trains and fast-paced Vande Bharat trains.
Along with the request, he also sought more unreserved coaches for trains running in northern Kerala in a letter written to the Minister of Railways, Ashwini Vaishnaw. He wrote, “While the introduction of Vande Bharat trains in Kerala is undoubtedly a commendable initiative, we cannot overlook the unintended consequences that it has on the punctuality and reliability of other train services.”
