As dense fog blankets several states in North India, including Rajasthan, the North Western Railway is taking proactive measures to ensure the safe operation of trains amidst challenging visibility conditions. North Western Railway officials announced additional steps on Wednesday (January 3) to address the impact of dense fog on rail traffic.
The spokesperson for the North Western Railway highlighted the special arrangements made by the Indian Railways to facilitate safe operations in sections grappling with dense fog. Guidelines have been issued by various departments, including engineering, signal and telecommunication, electrical, mechanical, operation, and safety, emphasising the importance of maintaining safety standards during adverse weather conditions.
