NEW DELHI: Pandemic-hit 2020 may not have been the year for travel and aviation sectors but Indian airlines continued with their aircraft addition plans during the year and will increase its fleet strength to 713 by the end of this fiscal, says the Economic Survey tabled in Parliament today.
The survey says that the fleet strength of airlines was 669 by the end of 2020 fiscal, which will increase to 713 by the end of the current fiscal. The increase in fleet strength is coming primarily with IndiGo continuing with its expansion plans.
