Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman was captured on Wednesday after his MiG-21 Bison was shot down by the Pakistani forces.
Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan informed the country’s Parliament that the captured IAF pilot will be released on Friday after the international community intensified pressure on the country to de-escalate the tension with India. New Delhi had earlier expressed its unwillingness to either negotiate or strike a deal on the release.
