NEW DELHI: Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport has once again been rated the number one airport in the ‘40 million passengers per annum (MPPA)’ category alongside the Mumbai airport for passenger service and security. The airport was adjudged the best by the Airports Council International (ACI) in the Airport Service Quality (ASQ) awards for 2018.
The awards are part of the world’s leading airport customer satisfaction benchmark programme, covering over 340 airports in more than 85 countries. ACI obtains feedback from passengers on 36 different parameters like passenger amenities, cleanliness and security among others. “Like last year, the Delhi and Mumbai airports have been ranked number one in the 40 million passengers per annum category and the CISF ensures that passengers not only feel safe but also approach us for guidance and any problems they may be facing,” said Rajesh Ranjan, CISF DG.
