BENGALURU: We are going to end the ICE age, Bhavish Aggarwal told TOI on Monday, a day before his company – Ola Electric – announced the launch of a slew of new electric two-wheelers, including lower-priced versions of its scooter and a range of motorcycles. By ICE, his reference is to the internal combustion engine, which has powered vehicles since 1885, when Gottlieb Daimler fitted it into a motorcycle, and Carl Benz used it in an automobile.
“Two years ago, I had said we were on a mission that by 2025-end, we want all two-wheelers to be free of ICE. We believe we are taking a massive step forward in this vision with these products.
