BENGALURU: Make in India did not seem like an impediment to delegates from abroad, looking to partner with India in developing defence and aerospace technology. In fact, the mantra was used in selling the technology.
Firms from Sweden, Russia and France were part of the Aero India 2023 exhibition, displaying their technologies to defence personnel, and the public.
Rosoboronexport, the state organisation in Russia for exporting the entire range of military, dual-use products and services and technologies, displayed Ka-226T light Utility Helicopter. The production of it is suggested to be launched under the Make in India programme on the premises of Indo-Russian Helicopters Limited (a joint venture with the participation of Russian and Indian companies).
