The Manohar Lal Khattar Government in Haryana has drawn up an ambitious plan to switch to solar installations and energy saving measures in educational institutions, jails, district hospitals and religious sites in the state.
Through roof top solar projects, the Haryana Government intends to install a total cumulative capacity of 113.6 MW in the current fiscal 2019-20.
In its action plan 2019-20 to promote the usage of solar power and energy saving measures in various sectors, the State Government has proposed that about 1700 lakh units of electricity may be generated annually from solar energy through the capacity of 113.6 MW roof top solar installations.
