NEW DELHI: There was an unusually high power demand in August this year in comparison with the last few years, signifying the increasing impact of changing weather conditions.
Barring August 27, Delhi’s peak power demand has been higher on all the corresponding days of the month than that of August 2022, according to State Load Despatch Centre data.
Delhi’s peak power demand clocked the season’s high of 7,438 MW on August 22—a phenomenon usually noticed in the peak summer months of May and June.
