In a move set to bolster connectivity and pilgrimage tourism, the Railway Ministry has given the green light to extending the train route from Una, Himachal Pradesh to Haridwar, Anurag Singh Thakur announced on Saturday. Thakur expressed that as the representative of both the Hamirpur parliamentary constituency and Himachal Pradesh, his primary focus lies on advancing the region’s development, particularly in enhancing connectivity.
Highlighting Haridwar’s significance as a religious hub drawing many pilgrims from Himachal Pradesh, Thakur said that he urged Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw for direct train services from Himachal to Haridwar.
