MMassive expansion of road network, especially the highways in Jammu and Kashmir UT, seems like a death knell to centuries-old trees. The NHAI has constructed several highways, but they should simultaneously take care of nature. It’s our request to government agencies to ensure that age-old trees and some revered ones are preserved.
