In a significant development aiming to achieve target of constructing 30 km of highway per day, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has amended the Model Concession Agreement (MCA) under which it has made strict provisions of monitoring, and liability for delays on part of both – Concessionaire as well as the Authority.
The amendments have also facilitated a “Revenue Shortfall Loan” in case the toll collection is lower than anticipated by the Concessionaire due to judicial pronouncements, not related to default of the Concessionaire.
