Bengaluru: The Hebbal flyover has been witnessing slow moving traffic with traffic jams becoming common of late. The Hebbal traffic police led by DCP North (Traffic) Sarah Fathima inspected the flyover and found that the asphalt at the joints of the ramps was coming off resulting in motorists slowing down.
“We have been receiving complaints of slow moving traffic on the flyover, not only during the peak hours but during non-peak hours too. We went and checked the reason and it was found that the vehicles were slowing down as they reached the joint of the ramps because of the asphalt coming off. If vehicles speed over it, there is an impact on the vehicle and might cause damage. So the vehicles tend to slow down,” a traffic police official said.
