BENGALURU/NEW DELHI: Fortunes of renewable energy companies swung in two extremes on Thursday as they obtained a high court stay against Andhra Pradesh’s move to renegotiate tariffs of signed contracts, but they also suffered losses as the state shut down wind and solar plants for a few hours, which officials say violates rules.
Following petitions filed by the Indian Wind Power Association and individual project developers, the Andhra Pradesh High Court stayed the state’s move to cut tariffs until August 22.
