The Bombay High Court on Monday asked the Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (Maha-Metro) to take claims about ‘structural defects’ of Pune Metro rail project seriously, while disposing of a PIL raising grievances against the visible defects in the structures.
The court was informed that an independent team of experts will be conducting an audit of the structure.
The HC remarked that the project was in the nature of public infrastructure and involved the safety of citizens.
