Residents of Hassi Bhat locality of Rainawari here today expressed resentment over inordinate delay in road widening in the area.
A delegation from the area led by GN Wadoo said several houses and shops were many years ago proposed to be acquired and demolished to pave way for road widening from Hassi Bhat mohalla to Naidyar in Rainawari area by Circular Road Division of R&B department.
“Ironically, despite passing of several years, no action has been taken so far. As the road is narrow and the traffic movement is high, jamming has become a regular feature causing inconvenience to commuters especially school going children and employees,” Wadoo said.
