HAL shares jump 4%, hit 52-week high after govt approves purchase of Rs 1.5 lakh crore defense equipment

Shares of Hindustan Aeronautics (HAL) jumped over 4% to hit its 52-week high of Rs 2,444 on the NSE on Thursday after the Defence Acquisition Council (DAC) approved the purchase of 97 Tejas fighter jets and procurement of 156 Prachand helicopters, according to ET Now. The stock closed at Rs 2,371, up 1% on the NSE.
