BENGALURU: Workers of Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) are planning to hold an indefinite strike from October 14, demanding a fair and early settlement of wage revision. The tussle between the All India HAL Trade Unions Coordination Committee (AIHALTUCC) and HAL management is going on since 2017, when the wage hike was due.
First, the workers union had protested in early 2017 when the HAL management revised the periodicity of wage hike from 5 years to 10 years. The union, however, accepted the 10-year periodicity after the management assured to provide a good wage revision to the workmen.
