GANDHINAGAR: The state government has extended the last date of filing applications for rooftop solar panels till March 15. Earlier, the last date for filing applications was February 28.
The government has allocated Rs 912 crore for the year 2020-21 for the solar rooftop project. The budget in the year 2019-2020 was Rs.610-crore. Chief minister Vijay Rupani said that Gujarat has received 1.06 lakh rooftop solar panel applications during the last five months, since the scheme was implemented from August 25, 2019.
