Ahmedabad: Gujarat Gas Limited on Monday raised the price of industrial piped natural gas (PNG) to Rs 40.83 per standard cubic metre (SCM) from the existing Rs 38.4 per SCM.
The hike in industrial PNG price by Rs 2.5 per SCM which came into effect on Monday, was announced after five price cuts implemented this year by the company.
Against a price of Rs 49.3 per SCM in February, the gas price had dropped to Rs 40.83. Sources confirmed that the increase was due to the recent spike in spot prices of liquefied natural gas.
