MUMBAI: The deadline for placing bids for Air India has been extended by two months to October 30 in view of the prevailing situation arising out of COVID-19 pandemic.
The earlier deadline for submission of EoIs was August 31 and that for intimation too the Qualified Interested Bidders (QIB) was September 14. The new deadline for intimation of QIB is November 20, according to a corrigendum issued by the finance ministry’s Department of Investment and Public Asset Management on Tuesday.
This is the fourth extension by the government, since it launched the process of strategic disinvestment of Air India in January. “The above changes are as pe the requests received from the IBs (Interested Bidders) in view of the prevailing situation arising out of COVID-19. Further changes with respect to the important dates, if any, will be communicated to the IBs subsequently,” said the corrigendum.
