Pratt & Whitney has no engines currently available for Go First, which also has no rights over them, the counsel for the US firm told a Delaware court on Thursday as the two companies engaged in a dispute over the supplies.
The airline has approached the court to enforce an arbitration order it won in Singapore against P&W, which it blames for its financial troubles and argues the US firm failed to supply engines on time. P&W says those claims are without merit. The airline’s counsel said the engines were critical to its revival. The arbitrator on March 30 had ordered P&W to supply serviceable spare engines to the airline.
