Total overdue payment to power producers by distribution companies is at an all-time high and stood at Rs 1.25 lakh crore in September 2020, according to portal PRAAPTI (Payment Ratification And Analysis in Power procurement for bringing Transparency in Invoicing of generators). Since the beginning of this financial year, the overdue amount has increased by 21 per cent to Rs 124,918 crore in September 2020 from Rs 103,842 crore in April 2020
