New Delhi: State-run GAIL IndiaNSE -0.44 % has reported a 10% increase in fourth-quarter profit, helped by a sharp expansion in earnings from its natural gas marketing business.
Profit for the January-March quarter rose to Rs 1,122 crore from Rs 1,021 crore in the year-ago period, the company said on Monday. Revenue increased 22% to Rs 18,764 crore during the quarter.
Profit from gas marketing business rose more than three-and-a-half times to Rs 587 crore during the quarter from Rs 158 crore a year earlier.
