Known for his mission to transform the country’s road network and transportation system, Union transport minister Nitin Gadkari on Thursday laid the online foundation stone for the country’s first elevated double-decker corridor on the NH-33 along the steel city. The project worth Rs 1,876 crore is going to be the first such facility in the country.
Addressing a public meeting at Gopal Maidan in Bistupur, Gadkari said the proposed double-decker corridor will add a new chapter to the country’s glorious road network. The project has been to ease the vehicular communication between Kolkata-Ranchi route but will also augment the beauty of the steel city.
