Domestic full-service carriers are expected to post a loss of $1.5 billion during financial year 2019, while low-cost airlines are expected to post a loss of $200 million, the Centre For Asia Pacific Aviation (CAPA) said on Tuesday.
Speaking at the CAPA India Summit 2019, Kapil Kaul, Chief Executive Officer and Director-South Asia, CAPA, said operating losses were higher-than-reported due to other incomes. Turning its attention to the outlook for fiscal 2020, CAPA expects losses to narrow down to $550-700 million.
