The fuel supply to the country’s petrol pumps, which has been impacted by the truckers’ protest in various parts of the country since last two days, was restored on Wednesday.
Oil minister Hardeep Singh Puri on Wednesday said that inventories (at fuel stations) might have gone low due to the truckers protest the previous day but the OMCs worked out for local solutions to maintain adequate supply.
“3-4 states had faced a complete dry out last day due to the protest including Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, and West Bengal,” Ajay Bansal, president, All India Petrol Pump Dealer Association said. However, the supply has been restored now, he added.
