The supply of auto and cooking fuels has resumed across cyclone-affected Puri, Khordha, and Cuttack districts, according to the Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan.
“Fuel dispensing began within 24 hours after Cyclone Fani affected the State. As of today, 232 out of 234 filling stations in Puri, Khordha, and Cuttack districts are functional and the remaining two willbe operational by Saturday …Additional measures have been taken to manage the rush in Puri city, while normalcy has been restored in Nimapada, Brahmagiri and Satyabadi regions,” Pradhan tweeted. “The current sales of fuel in Puri district has reached 3 lakh litres per day, which is close to the normal consumption levels.
