PUNE/MUMBAI: With a fresh hike on Wednesday, petrol price in Maharashtra’s Parbhani is at an all-time high of over Rs 105 a litre.
With such frequent and steep price hikes, especialy of diesel, transporters’ associations is planning to stage a pan-India protest on June 28 as precursor to an indefinite nationwide ‘chakka jam’ in near future to oppose the fuel price hikes, a media statement issued on Wednesday stated.
A litre of petrol will cost Rs102.48 in Pune city, while the the power version of it will cost Rs106.16. The price of diesel for a litre was Rs93.05 in the city.
