Where does the electrification of Broad Gauge tracks stand?
In 2023 alone, Indian Railways successfully electrified 6,577 Route Kilometers, a Railway Ministry press release showed. As of December 2023, the electrification effort has covered a total of 61,508 Route Kilometers, representing 93.83% of the total Broad Gauge route (65,556 RKMs) in the Indian Railways network. It’s noteworthy that until the year 2014, only 21,801 KM of the broad gauge network had been electrified.
