In a bid to put an end to indiscriminate checking of domestic electricity connections and causing undue harassment to consumers, Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) has now mandated that as per the directions of the Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission, the connected load of DS (domestic supply) consumers, having connected load of up to 50 kW, could only be checked physically ‘only where unauthorised use of electricity or theft of energy or any other misuse is apprehended’.
