The Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) has announced that a grant of electricity concession of 300 units per month to freedom fighters having domestic category (DS) connections with sanctioned load of up to one KW would continue during the financial year 2019-20. The Punjab Government has approved a subsidy amount of Rs 84 lakh during the year for this purpose.
The PSPCL Chief Engineer/Commercial has conveyed the decision to all the heads of the distribution zones through a commercial circular (34/2019 dated June 28, 2019) that on the direction of the state government and sanction of a grant against the free supply of electricity to freedom fighters, this facility would continue during the current financial year as well.
