Air travellers from Maharashtra will no longer have to carry a negative RT-PCR test report when they land at the Delhi airport, officials said. For a while now, those arriving in Delhi from Maharashtra, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, were required to carry a recent RT-PCR report, showing zero Covid-19 infection.
On Monday, the authorities did away with the norm. “As per the latest guidelines, RT-PCR report is not required for domestic arrivals from Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana,” a Delhi airport official told The Indian Express.
The RT-PCR test compulsion for travellers from Maharashtra had come into effect in April this year as Covid-19 cases across the state had increased.
