NEW DELHI: International arrivals from South Africa, Bangladesh, Botswana, China, Mauritius, New Zealand and Zimbabwe will have to mandatorily undergo RT-PCR test on arrival in India from September 3
So far arrivals from UK, Europe and Middle East had to undergo this test on arrival in India. Now, the Union health ministry has expanded the list of countries due to “reporting of new mutations in SARS-CoV-2 and rising incidence of Variants of Concern (VoCs) and Variants of Interest (Vols).”
India requires any international passenger flying here to undergo RT-PCR test before boarding flights to the country.
“Travellers through flights originating from United Kingdom, Europe and Middle East were additionally mandated to be tested on arrival in India through RT-PCR test.”
