Two flights, which were set to land at the Chandigarh Airport, were diverted to Amritsar and Lucknow due to poor weather in the city today.
“The flights were diverted because of high-wind speed and a thick cloud cover. To ensure safety of passengers, the flights were diverted,” said a spokesperson for the airport.
A GoAir flight from Mumbai to Chandigarh was diverted to Amritsar. The flight, which was set to land in the city at 7 pm, reached at 9:25 pm. The flight had left Mumbai around 4:26 pm. This also caused a two-hour delay in the GoAir flight from Chandigarh to Mumbai.
