BENGALURU: Foggy communication struck aviation just as fog in north India did on Monday as a Go First flight to Delhi from Bengaluru took off without 54 passengers who had checked in, cleared security and boarded one among four buses that were to take them to the parked aircraft. The airline flew the stranded passengers to their destination four hours later.
The goof-up involving ground staff and the crew on board G8 116 unfolded around 5.45am, unbeknownst to the passengers who had trooped into the third bus. Sumit Kumar, one of those left shocked by the news that the flight had taken off without them, said the ground staff appeared clueless when the confusion hit home. “My friend boarded the flight and called me to say the plane was about to take off.
