Air India’s Chief Technical Officer (engineering head) Arun Kashyap will return to SpiceJet as chief operating officer, about a year after he left the no-frills carrier for the Tata group airline. Kashyap will join SpiceJet on June 12, the airline said in a release. This is the first CXO-level exit at Air India since the airline returned to the Tata fold in January 2022.
According to sources, Vistara’s head of engineering Sisira Kant Dash is likely to take charge as Air India’s chief technical officer from June. The Tata group is in the Process of consolidating and streamlining its airline business, which includes merging Vistara into Air India and AIX Connect (AirAsia India) with Air India Express.
