BENGALURU: A criminal case for death due to negligence has been filed against a project director and a supervisor fromNational Highways Authority of India (NHAI), after a 34-year-old daily-wage worker was run over on August 24 night at Tippasandra handpost, on a stretch of Nelamangala-Kunigal Road that was allegedly poorly lit.
Earlier, locals had protested at least three times, demanding the installation of high-mast lights as there were repeated accidents on the particular junction. However, the lighting was not installed, police said.
