Rural Electrification Corporation (REC) has sanctioned 609 projects of Transmission & Distribution, Generation and Renewable, etc., with total loan amount of Rs 61,421.37 crore during 2014-15, as shown in table-1. Uttar Pradesh, the non-BJP ruled state, gets the maximum finance.
