Federation of Indian Mineral Industries (FIMI), an apex industry body of miners, has urged the union mines ministry to continue with the system of Average Sale Price published by IBM, in light of the government’s decision to come up with the National Mineral Index (NMI).
NMI is expected to form the basis of all statutory payments in mining such as auction premium, royalty, District Mineral Foundation (DMF) and NMET.
