Good news for rail passengers! Indian Railways has gifted 4 pairs of new trains over the South Eastern Railway (SER) zone. The move will prove to be beneficial for commuters in the wake of the ongoing festive season. In a statement, the national transporter said, “These trains will be introduced very soon.”
The SER zone caters to the few areas of West Bengal, Jharkhand and Odisha. Headquartered at Kolkata’s Garden Reach, the zonal railway comprises four Divisions – Adra, Chakradharpur, Kharagpur and Ranchi.
