The trial run for 3D computed tomography X-ray (CTX) machines for cabin bag checks will soon start at T2 terminal of Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport. As the technology is new in India, airport operators will check the actual baggage handling capacity of the machines before implementing at other airports. According to a Times of India report, the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security , the the national Regulator for Civil Aviation Security, has ordered operators of all major airports to install 3D computed tomography X-ray (CTX) machines for cabin bag checks.
