BENGALURU: Upset after his FASTag account was deducted of Rs 5 in excess of the charge twice at a toll plaza, a Bengalurean took the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) to a city consumer court for illegal trade practices.
The court recently ordered the agency to refund the excess toll fee collected and pay the customer a compensation of Rs 8,000.
Santosh Kumar MB, 38, of Gandhinagar drove his vehicle on a national highway stretch in Chitradurga limits twice in 2020 – on February 20 and May 16.
